Average and descriptive statistics
Summarize a number list with average, median, modes, spread and optional weighted mean.

How it works
- Arithmetic mean = Σ x ÷ n; Population standard deviation = √(Σ(x−Arithmetic mean)² ÷ n); Sample standard deviation = √(Σ(x−Arithmetic mean)² ÷ (n−1)); Weighted mean = Σ wx ÷ Σ w
- Worked example: 1;2;2;5 ⇒ Sum 10; Arithmetic mean 2.5; Median 2; All tied modes 2; Range 4; Population standard deviation 1.5
- Supported input limits: Numbers (semicolon, space or line separated; decimal point): n ≤ 250000; Matching weights (same separators): n ≤ 250000
Assumptions and limitations
Choose the mode and enter only its required values. Division by zero is rejected or shown as undefined. Integer bases and fractions retain exact integer arithmetic; rounded decimal displays do not replace it. List statistics describe the supplied observations only; weighted mode changes the mean, not the order statistics.
