How it works
- Percentage of a value: Value × Percentage or part ÷ 100; Part as percentage of whole: Percentage or part ÷ Value × 100; Find the whole from part and percentage: Value ÷ (Percentage or part ÷ 100)
- Worked example: 200 × 15 ÷ 100 = 30; 30 ÷ 200 × 100 = 15%; 30 ÷ 0.15 = 200
- Supported input limits: Value: -1000000000000 ≤ x ≤ 1000000000000; Percentage or part: -1000000000000 ≤ x ≤ 1000000000000
Assumptions and limitations
Choose the mode and enter only its required values. Division by zero is rejected or shown as undefined. Integer bases and fractions retain exact integer arithmetic; rounded decimal displays do not replace it. List statistics describe the supplied observations only; weighted mode changes the mean, not the order statistics.
