How it works
- Scale factor = Target servings ÷ Original servings; Scaled mass = Quantity × Scale factor
- Worked example: 6 ÷ 4 = 1.5; 300 g × 1.5 = 450 g; 2 × 1.5 = 3
- Supported input limits: Original servings: 1e-12 ≤ x ≤ 1000000000000; Target servings: 0 ≤ x ≤ 1000000000000; Scale factor: 0 ≤ x ≤ 1000000000000; Entries: 1–50
Assumptions and limitations
Masses use grams. Recipe units are preserved without conversion; practical fractions are approximate eighths. These calculations do not determine cooking time, temperature, fermentation or food safety.
