Video frames to duration
Convert a frame count to elapsed seconds and minutes at an exact frame rate. Compare integer rates with fractional broadcast rates when estimating clip length, animation timing or export duration.

Your inputs
The editable example is illustrative. Enter your own dimensions, operating data, prices, and fees. Results update as you edit.
Calculations run in your browser. Inputs are not saved or sent to analytics.
How it works
- Duration in seconds = ÷
- Worked example
- 1,800 ÷ 30 = 60 s; 1,800 ÷ (30,000 ÷ 1,001) = 60.06 s

Assumptions and limitations
Fractional options are exact ratios such as 30,000/1,001, not rounded 29.97. Frames are a count, not an inclusive last-frame index. The result is elapsed duration; drop-frame timecode labels, variable frame rate and audio resampling are outside this tool.
