Alcohol blending and dilution
Estimate blend strength from ingredient volumes and ABV, or water needed to reach a lower strength. Drag the graph handles to change inputs and explore the result.
Your inputs
Example values are editable. Use your measurements and product specifications. Results update as you edit.

How it works
- Valcohol = Σ( × / 100)
- ABVblend = 100 × Valcohol / (ΣVingredient + )
- Vextra-water = 100 × Valcohol / − Vcurrent

Assumptions and limitations
ABV is percent alcohol by volume. Volumes are assumed additive; real alcohol/water mixtures contract and temperature affects volume. Enter ice melt explicitly. This is a recipe estimate, not a laboratory assay, fermentation estimate or proofing/tax calculation. 100 mL at 40% plus 150 mL water gives approximately 16% ABV.
