How it works
- Converted value = Value × f₁ ÷ f₂; SI: kg
- Worked example: 1 lb = 0.45359237 kg; 1 Metric tonne = 1000 kg
- Supported input limits: Value: 0 ≤ x ≤ 1000000000000
Assumptions and limitations
Conversion uses the named unit definition and the same physical dimension. The international foot, avoirdupois mass, US liquid/imperial volumes, thermochemical calories and international-table BTU are distinct conventions. Mechanical horsepower is 745.6998715822702 W; metric horsepower is 735.49875 W. Pressure conversion preserves its gauge/absolute reference. Temperature differences use scale factors without offsets.
