How it works
- Pace per selected 100 units (h:mm:ss) = t/d × 100; Total pool traversals = d/Pool length (selected distance unit); Two-length laps (including fraction) = Total pool traversals/2
- Worked example: 1000 m/20 min ⇒ 2 min/100 m; 1000/25 = 40 Total pool traversals = 20 Two-length laps (including fraction)
- Supported input limits: Distance: 1e-12 ≤ x ≤ 1000000000000; Duration (hh:mm:ss): n ≤ 14; Pool length (selected distance unit): 1e-12 ≤ x ≤ 1000000000000; Target distance (selected unit): 0 ≤ x ≤ 1000000000000
Assumptions and limitations
Pace and splits assume constant speed, not a predicted performance or training prescription. A swimming length is one traversal; a lap is two.
