How it works

  • Cut length per drop = Wall height + Trim per drop; Straight match: ceil(Cut length per drop/Pattern repeat length) × Pattern repeat length; Full-height drops = Σ ceil(Wall width/Roll width); Drops per roll = floor(Roll length/Cut length per drop)
  • Worked example: 4 × 2.4 m; Rolls to buy 0.5 × 10 m; Trim per drop 0.1 m ⇒ 8 Full-height drops × 2.5 m; 4/Rolls to buy ⇒ 2 Rolls to buy
  • Supported input limits: Entries: 1–20; Roll width: 1e-12 ≤ x ≤ 1000000000000; Roll length: 1e-12 ≤ x ≤ 1000000000000; Trim per drop: 0 ≤ x ≤ 1000000000000; Pattern repeat length: 1e-12 ≤ x ≤ 1000000000000

Assumptions and limitations

Enter measured dimensions in the selected length unit; area, opening and pack coverage values use m². Allowances apply once and only purchases round upward. This estimates material quantities, not structural design, cutting layouts or installation standards. Product coverage and yields must come from your actual product. Walls with equal cut lengths share rolls. Different cut lengths receive separate whole-roll allocations; mixed-length cutting optimization is outside this estimate.
