How it works
- The winner is chosen before the wheel animates. Every sector represents one line, and the pointer finishes over the chosen sector. No names are uploaded or stored by this tool.
- Worked example
- Alex / Sam / Robin / Kim → 1/4 = 25%
Assumptions and limitations
Use 2–50 entries of at most 40 characters. Each line has one equal chance; repeated names therefore have extra chances. Selection uses browser cryptographic randomness with rejection sampling. Animation does not change the outcome. Reduced-motion preferences are respected. Not a certified lottery or gambling system.
How to use this tool
Enter one name per line and spin. Match the pointer’s numbered segment to the listed entry. Repeated lines remain separate entries and therefore affect each name’s overall chance.
When this is useful
Choose a speaking turn or a casual activity fairly among entries. The animation displays an already selected random result; it is not a certified lottery or an auditable prize system.
