Music tempo and delay
Calculate straight, dotted and triplet note timings plus bar and loop duration. Change the inputs to update the chart or diagram.
Your inputs

How it works
- Quarter-note duration = 60,000 / ; 1/n = Quarter-note duration × 4/n; Dotted = 1.5 × t; Triplet = 2/3 × t
- Worked example: 120 BPM ⇒ 500 ms; 1/8 = 250 ms; Dotted = 375 ms; Triplet ≈ 166.66666667 ms; 4 × 4 × 0.5 = 8 s

Assumptions and limitations
BPM always refers to quarter-note beats, from 1 to 1,000. Enter quarter-note beats per bar rather than a time-signature numerator. For 6/8, a bar contains three quarter-note beats; dotted-quarter tempo must first be multiplied by 1.5. Tempo is constant; swing, human timing and tempo automation are excluded. Up to 32 quarter beats per bar and 10,000 bars.
